I am useing the computer at the gatehouse right now. I am here because I have to talk to Brandy. I want to ask her why she can't released the salaries of our sport coaches. Did you know that our tax dollars are giving money to fund such sports like Volleyball,cheer,field hockey, gymnastics. The coaches of those so called sports are getting a damn pay check for it. They are not even a real sports. fcps should stop wasting money on clubs that they called sports. I think they should rename them "clubs". Will fcps hire a coach For a sport Valle texting or for eating?????

You sound like a lunatic. Tell the kids who play volleyball, field hockey, etc that they are not "real" sports".

These fall female sports have 2-3 stipends each.
The total amount paid to coaches for fall sports balances across men and womens sports. This is all overseen by the county. Every school pays the same for each position/sport.
The real kicker is CLUB crew. Since the parents pay the crew boosters directly for the sports these coaches make bank. An assisntant crew coach can make upwards of nearly 5 figures for helping part-time.

If you took the time to track all the time that FCPS coaches devote to the sport that they coach and divided into their limited pay, you find that most coaches make close to minimum wage. Also, the contribution that many of these coaches make to the development of the kids they coach can not be calculated.

Gatehouse is the final destination for the Dance of the Lemons. Incompetent or ineffective principals and intructors or paid to disappear and waste away (while collecting full pay) with made-up job responsibilities. Soon, FCPS will have more non-teachers employed than teachers.

These are the supplements for FCPS coaches and club sponsors. If you are a first year coach, i.e. basketball you will get paid the same amount as a 20 year coach. Most sports have supplemented positions for assistants as well.
