Burglar Caught
On Friday, June 27 around 12:30 a.m., Fairfax County Police were called to the 4900 block of Fran Place for a burglary in progress. A 27-year-old Alexandria-area woman was in her home when she heard a noise and saw a pair of hands down the hallway. She left the home and called police. Officers entered, along with a police K9 and found Salvador Minero Chavez, 33, hiding in the shower. Minero Chavez, of 4916 Fran Place, #203 in Alexandria, was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment of a dog bite and then transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with burglary.

Hey that is a good police dog. Maybe that woman ought to consider getting a dog for herself.
I have a BIG black dog, who barks and growls at every guy who walks by or loiters within eyesight of my place. He barks, they jump. Scares the bejesus out of them. I am convinced he is the reason I haven't been robbed...yet.

What's the issue here? The police dog was just doing it's job. The title of this thread lead me to believe this was about irresponsible dog owners!
Ok, how do you just see a pair of hands in your hallway? Even more disgusting, the man was her neighbor who had probably been stalking her and waiting who knows how long for any opportunity to burglarize the place and rape her, or worse. They should have just let him bleed to death from the dog bite.
