The power keeps shutting off in Falls Church

What the hell? The power went out 3 times after the last storm in the entire grid from like Best Buy all the way to Shoppers. I think they duct taped the wires together or something because if you look at the power lines funny, we lose power. Early this morning around 1:30am it happened and 2 nights ago it happened at around 11pm. It's getting ridiculous and I don't want my plasma and crap browning out.

So I called Dominion up and they know jack shit about. I would have been better off talking to a jar of pickles. How do they not know when and entire fu*kin' grid loses power several times /week?

We have had outages here too, but, overall I'd say Dominion did a
fine job of restoration after the "big one". Considering the amount
of damage, it wasnt bad. Three days without power was frustrating and
we lost $150.00 worth of beef in the freezer. My kids were going nuts
without computers and electric guitars but hey, I told them to read a
book and go acoustic. If they really started getting uptight I'd start
telling them stories about their grandparents growing up in East Tennessee
during the Great Depression. (that shut them up)

There were contract crews from South Carolina in front of our house who dropped everything and came to the rescue. Pain in the butt, but with all the trees
near power lines in this area it could have been a lot worse. If
its that bad I'd suggest buying a portable generator.

The first time I was out for 2 days, the second one I was out for 2 days (when everyone else nearby had power 14 hours before me), now the sh*t is going out it seems on a weekly basis. They might have done good getting people back online but they did a bootleg hack job of doing it. A lot of patch work needs to be fixed it seems. Residential power just doesn't cut off/on once a week ya' know? I wouldn't give a shit if I wasn't running 4 servers out of my bedroom closet. Thank god for UPS.

Friend of mine in Falls Church (off 7 immediately before the Culmore strip)
has been losing power several times a day, every day, since the big storm.

Pretty upsetting.

Did you ever notice that Dominion Power sells home generators?

Think that might have something to do with the frequent outages?

There was a lot of equipment working on it this evening,
apparently had Route 7 down to one lane over there...
