Need Sandy rainfall info

We are out of town and woder what is happening to our home near George Mason University. Anyone have rainfall totals, damage reports to share?

Fire scanner for FC has been reporting trees into houses, 3 in the last 10 in since I started listening. FCPD scanner seems to have gone off-line, at least temporarily.

Not that much rain. 5" sounds about right. We've had a lot worse.

Winds are cranking pretty good. National Airport says 38 mph with gusts to 60.

I was out an hour or so ago and surprised not to see as many trees down as I expected. Guess the storm earlier this year took out most of the weak stuff. Sure that there are some other areas where they are though.

Having more big gusts lately, not as much rain it seems, and the wind is coming more from the north.

BTW, at Sideburn ct. and Sideburn rd., just had a tree bring down part of a utility pole, wires hanging down are hot. The FD is bu-sy tonight. Our power is still on, who can figure?
