Bryan Cranston was on Jay Leano show recently talking about that new movie he is in. He said they have a food court inside CIA headquarters in Langley. One of the stores was a Subway. Was he kidding? Do they have illegals working inside CIA headquarters?

Don't laugh. My mom applied for a job doing data entry at the CIA back in like 1980. They gave her a tentative offer and started the clearance process. Told her she could start in a minimum 6 months after they finished the clearance. I remember the men in black suits doing their interviews around the neighborhood. 3 months later she got tired of waiting and went to SAIC.

They have a food court. There is a Subway and it's the only thing open until 6pm. When we do night work there, it's easier to buy something before 6 and save it until break as opposed to brining in a cooler. It only takes cash. No debit/credit machines in that place, because you can't be undercover and swiping your legit credit card at CIA HQ.

It is a pain in the ass to get in your car and leave for lunch.

I don't think that the workers get a clearance. They have no need to know and the public areas forbid classified conversations. They probably get a background check.

There are two types of gov't employees at CIA: overt and those in cover status. Overt employees can use their credit card. They are not undercover.
