Shoppers Food - TOns of Food Stamp and Welfare Fraud - WE NEED TO STOP IT
Posted by: Sick of Supporting THiefs ()

I have been to SHoppers Food Warehouse in Centreville several times.

At least half the time, I notice individuals using food stamps and"WIC"?

I understand those who need it. But when I see a woman using it and her "MAN" whipping out hundreds to pay for items that you would not expect one on welfare to receive, it gets a bit disgusting.

How can I report this?

You obviously never hit the Giant in Heritage Mall, 95% were using assistance there. But, they had to close that store for some reason.

This might be a good place to start: http://www.vahealth.org/wic/Form%20345.pdf

Since you seem new to this area, let me clue you in on some other things
too. Her and "her "MAN" will not consider marraige and have to give
up the WIC, welfare, and Section 8 housing. Her "MAN" buys the real
goodies because WIC wont pay for alcohol, filet mignon's, or lobsters.
Her "MAN" doesnt legally reside at the same address. Chances are,
her "MAN" has at least one other similar arrangement in PG County with
another "her". ADC?

I saw a gentleman of foreign extraction buying about $100 worth of popsicles at SFW. He paid with food stamps!

That sounds either illegal or fishy. Popsicles, I believe, are not
covered by food stamps. Please refer to my earlier reply in
regards to reporting abuse.

something else to consider...

do you have any idea how many soldiers fighting in Iraq actually qualify for
food stamps? almost 10,000 of them.... this is just wrong.... they are
fighting for their country, yet their families need food stamps to survive?
Where's the logic in that?

Food stamps are nothing. You should see what the freeloaders are doing to our health care system. Who do you think is paying for the health care for those 8 kids?

Food stamp photo id's can be avoided if taking photos is against a religion.

http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text/text-idx?c=ecfr&sid=08a2881825f3c2e3b97c71109000ddf7&rgn=div8&view=text&node=7:4.1.1.3.22.0.1.10&idno=7

"(ii) Household members whose religion does not allow them to be photographed. The State agency shall require such a household to provide a signed statement to the effect that the members' religious beliefs do not allow them to be photographed;"

That is BS - get a card get a picture.

You can get snacks and treats but not hot meals to eat in the store -- no prepared foods. But you can get the precooked chicken in the "chicken" department just not the hot rotisserie kind.

Only people food and that includes stuff like $5 hagen daaz.
