I just noticed that the Safeway is now carrying this via 6 packs of 16 oz. cans. This stuff was only sold in Baltimore since forever, so this is an odd sight. $4.50 is a decent price if you want a cheap drunk.

Yeah really, I remember schaefer in cans going on sale for $1.09 a six-pack down in Farmville somewhere circa 1985. We stacked cases of that swill in our dorm closets. That stuff would get you drunk but keep you on the crapper the next morning. I am a fan of the bass ale now but still enjoy a ice cold budweiser on a hot summer day every now and then.

What Safeways carry Natty Bo around here?

I drove into the hell of Kingstowne last night to visit their Safeway just so I could get some Natty Bo.

They don't stock it and they looked at me like I had two heads when I asked about it.

Maybe the OP's locale has a large Baltimoron population?

The only thing truly pathetic about Boh is that 90% of it is sold and drank in Baltimore. 90%! That means that 1. Almost nobody else drinks that shit. 2. a Company Headquartered in Cali pays two miller breweries in GA and NC to brew their shitty beer and truck it across multiple state lines all so Baltimoreans can drink their "local favorite".

What ever happened to Olympia? That stuff was rank. My preferred "cheap" beer these days is Ice House. It doesn't taste half bad and has 5.5% abv.

They need to bring back generic beer, no name beer..It came in a white can and had black letters that said "beer" the fucking 80's man! Crazy times.
