Woman Killed in Reston
Posted by: Cc ()
Date: October 16, 2012 02:51PM

A woman was shot and killed in Reston Tuesday morning in what Fairfax County police believe was a domestic incident.

Officers were called to a residence in the 11300 block of Geddys Court about 9:40 a.m. for a report of a person shot, police said.

When they arrived, police said, an adult woman was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital, where she died. An adult male was taken into custody at the residence, police said.

A police spokesman said he did not yet have information about how the man and woman were related, but said it appeared the shooting occurred inside the residence.

Police do not believe there is any threat to the public.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police say a brother shot his sister to death at his Reston home Tuesday morning.

Charles Hamilton, 59, has been charged for killing his sister, 68-year-old Ruth Allen.

Allen was shot at about 9:45 a.m. inside the home in the 11300 block of Geddys Court. She was taken to a local hospital but died.

The incident shattered what is considered a relatively quiet neighborhood. Those who’ve lived here for years couldn’t believe the news.

“This is just a really quiet area and so it’s just a total shock,” says Lea Gallardo, a neighbor. “I’m just horrified. I just feel so bad.”

“Oh my God, you just never think about this stuff,” says Trina Rodriguez, another neighbor. “You hear about it on the news, but not in your own neighborhood.”

Hamilton was taken into custody at the home and charged with murder.

What time will the police experts start posting that the police messed up from the start of the investigation, should have prevented the shooting, and that there is more to it than being told?

If firearms were not available for purchase to the common citizen I would not have to read about this kind of stuff in the news. Only mentally deficient individuals buy handguns and assault rifles. It's only a matter of time before they are taken away from all of you. In the rare instance only a farmer would need one. Enjoy them while you have them nut jobs.

Perfect example of a gun nut. Please keep writing such things on the internet so all can see gun owners are crazy. Gun owners such as yourself are your worst enemy. Funny thing is one day when they come to take your guns you will hand them over with a smile on your face.

Wait...you're being sarcastic right??

I think the news lies to us, when they cover certain shootings that have occurred in areas where guns are banned, like a church I think they're lying.

HOW COULD SOMEONE IN CHURCH HAVE A GUN WHEN THEY'RE ILLEGAL TO HAVE??

You're an idiot, dude.

That distinction between real life and the internet is one that comes up time and time again but it's a false one. You cannot excuse your actions by attributing them to a self-created character. The law and wider society do not and should not recognise that distinction.

Nonsense, then people would find other ways to kill each other. 99% of gun owners handle their firearms in a safe, responsible manner. Probably more than 99%, actually. And you believe we should punish the responsible 99% because 1% doesn't know how to safely keep a firearm?

I'm a Democrat and I think that's nuts. It's LUNACY to punish 99% of people because a certain group that makes up less than 1% can't get its act together.

No... it's not lunacy to force the wealthiest 1% to pay a higher tax rate. If you think the issues with the deficit can be solved through spending cuts, you're ignorant of the facts.

Yes, liberalism is a mental disorder. It is contrary to the natural state of man and nature.

Keep your hands off my right to acquire and collect firearms.

OMG - Obama Must Go on January 21, 2013 to the horrible corrupt neighborhood where he resided before. Specifically to the McMansion real estate deal facilitated by Tony "the scumbag" Rezko.

He won't return to that residence. He will move to a Hawaiian estate and smoke Maui Wowie with the leftist team that ushered his TelePrompTer into office.

What is dandruff?

Most people will at some point in their life experience the skin disorder dandruff. It is typically treated with a combination of topical medicines and/or shampoos because it is brought on by an excess of the skin's natural oil production. The appropriate therapy may typically make dandruff tolerable, despite the fact that it can be exceedingly unpleasant and frustrating to deal with. This post will go through the signs, causes, and various over-the-counter and all-natural remedies for dandruff. Click here
