The being black at TJ thread prompts me to share my experience. Asians are not a protected class, but are great at taking prep classes and completing the hurdles to gain entry into TJ. Yet with more than 60% Asians in TJ, they still believe they are being discriminated against, which justifies bending the rules.

But there is a secret among the community: Those who don't live in Fairfax County yet have established fake addresses sotely to get in to TJ. These addresses are never checked during the application process.

Here are the questions that they must close their eyes to on the application:

* I hereby approve my Application for admission for the Class of 2017 at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. I further certify that currently I reside full-time in a TJHSST participating school division.

* I hereby approve the Application for admission of my child for the Class of 2017 at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. I further certify that my child resides with me and that I currently reside full-time in a TJHSST participating school division.

Asian culture has many positives. A sense of ethics is not one of them.

You sound like an angry white male. Let me clear this up for you. What is going to happen, whether you import them or not, is that the composition of magnet schools will be 80% asian through merit, and 10% black and 10% hispanic because of affirmative action. Don't you know asians now fill in "Prefer not to Answer" for the race question because filling in asian is actually worse for them? There will be no more whites left at that school. As a white male, that must suck for you. What you can do though is just marry/date an asian girl as payment for your declining choke hold.
