PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Mount Vernon High School is NOT I repeat NOT ghetto. I Hate it when people come here and say that the kids here are smart. but lasst time I check FAIRFAX country HAD THE BEST SCHOOLS in the USA. CHECK WE HAVE THE HIGHEST TEST SCORE IN EVEN HIGHER THAN SOME SCHOOL IN FAIRFAX COUNTRY so stfu everyone

Nice job Kathlyn but there is a problem. You cannot spell and can't compose a sentence so my opinion of Mount Vernon High is not favorable if you go there.

Mount Vernon High isn't any different than any other FCPS high school. Same curriculum, teacher creds, everything.
The problem is large numbers of Rt 1 savages and immigrant and military trash. They pull the scores down like any other school that has a large number of them.
There are some very nice, expensive areas down there between Rt 1 and the river where the parents are involved in their kids' educations. Mount Vernon High School causes those kids no lasting harm.
