Yes, and remember that a vote for Kaine is a vote for Harry Reid as the Leader of the Senate--the same Senate that has not passed a budget in years. The same Senate that refuses to go into conference with the House to legislate. The same Senate that brought you the Health care bill--including the "Louisiana Purchase" to get Mary Landrieu's vote and the "Cornhusker Kickback" to get Ben Nelson's vote.

Yes, and closing the rest stops. Anyone on the road during that period and tried to find a place to "rest" after Midnight? Stupid call.

Not a fan of Allen either but I can't just get with Kaine. He was worthless. We don't need just another party stand-in like Connolly.

You're right, Caine didn't shut the DMVs, it was Warner. I was mixing up Democrat administrations. For once I'd like to see cuts in entitlements/handouts during Democratic rule if they can't be covered instead of the rest of us having to go without who actually pay for the services we need.

And before anyone tries to peg me as a Repub fanboy, they suck for cutting off free Va. e-File to taxpayers with normal NoVa-type incomes, thanks to their Intuit (TurboTax) master's lobbying efforts.

My favorite example was when Gov. Mark Sanford got caught screwing around, Fox "News" put a D-SC after his name. Millions of idiots now believe that Sanford is a Democrat, when of course he is a life-long Republican. Just a mistake? Not hardly.

As for the DMV's. What did Warner do? He closed the DMV's? I do know that Kaine closed the rest stops--and for people who have to travel for lots of different reasons, especially those who have to travel late at night after fast food restaurants are closed, that was a real problem.

Kaine also gave away the Dulles Toll Road and look what is happening there.

Tim Kaine is an extreme ideologue who can hide it well. No one gets selected by Barack Obama to run the Democratic Party in order to moderate it. Kaine's record as governor is one of intransigence and lack of accomplishments, oh except for a smoking ban. Just look at how he unilaterally handed the Dulles Toll Road to MWAA going completely outside of the process and now we all pay for it 6 years later in ever increasing toll rates.

Is Tim Kaine really as old and tired as that picture shows? That's a lot worse than the campaign mailings I receive. Full disclosure: I'm voting for George Allen. I do remember that Tim Kaine closed the rest stops and shortened DMV hours to inflict pain on us so he could rally support for higher taxes. At the national level, I would expect he would try to close the National Zoo and monuments to make the same point.

Here's a cartoon dedicated to Tim Kaine's closing the rest stops in an attempt to try and apply political pressure which backfired when other politicians explained to him that safety issues were involved especially with truckers.
