Best Taquerias in Fairfax County

In this thread, we will post our favorite taquerias in the county.

Important note: While I'm a Tippy's fan, I'm not talking about places like Tippy's. I'm talking about real Mexican joints, run and patronized by real-life Mexicans.

I'm hungry to try more tacos autenticos. Let's hear those recommendations!

I'll start:

El Charrito Caminante in Arlington. (Goat tacos FTW)

Ricos Tacos Moya in Alexandria and Fairfax.

Taqueria Poblano in Arlington whips up some good tacos al carbon. It's in the Lee Harrison Shopping Center.

Forgot the name of the place, on Main St/Woodland Dr area across from the tire place. They have excellent, authentic tacos. And some ellas caliente.

I went with some coworkers to District Taco over in Arlington / Falls Church off 29 . Not bad , but I wouldn't drive across the county for it but if in the area it would be decent. I recall a good selection of topings and various hot sauces you could get.

Taco Bell in Burke Centre rules. Best Tacos anywhere. And that new Chicken Cantina Bowl is awesome! Really, you need to try it.. No place else comes close in Burke or Springfield. Cafe Rio sucks, Anita's sucks, Chipotle sucks, El Paso Grill sucks, La Taqueda sucks.

hell, not even in "virginia" at all....

if anybody is paying a visit/passing thru to that bustling hot bed of activity, shepherdstown WVA, check out maria's taqueria.

no, i'm not maria, i do no work there, have an ownership stake, nor have i ever had anything from there. i do however, know maria, and have had her food before.

It's not bad. But I like La Mexicana much better.

Also along Rt. 1, Taco Lucas. Haven't been to there in about 8-9 years. Last time I was there, a fist fight broke out between two customers at the counter.

Taco Lucas is one of the filthiest restaurants I have ever seen in the US.
