THERE ARE NO STORES IN ANNANDALE. NOBODY SHOPS AT KMART ANYMORE...REGARDLESS OF LOCATION, AND IT IS THE ONLY STORE IN TOWN. OF COURSE THERE IS ALWAYS THE GOODWILL IF YOU WANT TO BUY SOMEONE ELSE'S JUNK.
ANNANDALE HAS MISSED THE BOAT ON DEVELOPMENT IN NOVA. MERRIFIELD AND SPRINGFIELD ARE ON THE RISE AND ANNANDALE VILLAGE CENTER HAS NOTHING NEW. NO MAJOR RETAILERS OR RESTAURANT CHAINS WILL INVEST HERE. VERY DISAPPOINTING, ESPECIALLY WITH ALL OF THE HEAVY TRAFFIC THAT PASSES THROUGH OUR VILLAGE CENTER. WAKE-UP ANNANDALE AND PLEASE MODERNIZE.

Depends on what part of Annandale. Bradlick gets a lot of activity.

I agree Annandale should do more though. Look at what Springfield did with Springfield Mall. Pretty nice.

We need variety. Enough with the Asian "ghettos". We can't have towns inhabited and designed to custom fit only one race. But this people with their illicit business approach take over like roaches.

All the original shops are gone. There were some great places. Now if you do not meet a special interest then there is no use to go there. Why is Giant Food still there?

But Chick Fil A is coming at the site next to Speedway which used to be Annandale Millwork.
Safeway is becoming dangerous with homeless beggars converging everytime you park in the lot.
Having a local high school full of low performing students inhibits people from relocating to the area. It's all about real estate that drives commercial development. Better start taking Korean language classes.

Annandale high school has its share of high performing students. What it is lacking is a large population of students in the middle. You can thank the School Board for that. Overcrowding at Annandale was just an excuse for Justice, Woodson, Lake Braddock, Edison and (believe it or not) Falls Church to swoop in and carve out solid middle class neighborhoods filled with average and above average students. It sucks when your high school is divided between different school board members none of which feels any need to curry the approval of Annandale voters.
