I give that joint 1 to 1 1/2 thumbs up. Only reason for that is the parking situation looks like it could be a major cluster F during peak times / days / seasons. In other words, I would not be going there the Wednesday before Thanksgiving unless my life depended on it.

I hit that place for the first time this past Sunday around noon. Wow! Was I ever surprised. The produce section alone beat the snot out of everything else around Vienna, inlcuding the soccer mom, Lance Armstrong wannabe, uppity snob, inconsiderate jackass patronizing person of Whole Foods.

The staff was nice, while looking to check out I was called to an aisle, and some "manager" thanked me as I was leaving. While perusing the shelves I saw many things not at any of the other grocery stores en masse. I did not pay a lot of attention to the prices, so I cannot comment on how they compare to others. So, those of you who drive 10 miles to save 20 cents a pound on bell peppers, I got nothing for you.

To be honest, a small part of my amazement was comparing this HT to the one that opened ( and closed in short order ) in Fairfax City. Having been in them while in NC, I was so happy to know one was opening here. Words and pixels cannot express the let down I felt when I first went into the one in Fairfax City.

Outside of the potential parking debacle, the only other issue I took with that place was with the selfish uppity people in the place. It had, somewhat, the "Price Club Effect", in which the people pushing their carts and double baby strollers around were totally oblivious to other shoppers. Several carts got a rapid extracation from the middle of the aisles at my hands and feet. The looks on the faces of the botoxed, fake tanned, cell phone yapping S-Class driving shoppers was priceless.

In summary, I highly encourage local grocery shoppers to check out the HT. Even with the aboved mentioned pitfalls and shortcomings, it has a lot to offer the consumer!

You're welcome.
