Fun things to do in Vienna.

So. Vienna, right? I'm 17, so I am legally incapable of doing anything fun. As far as entertainment in vienna, everything's either too far, too expensive, or illegal. I don't really mind the illegal stuff, but with Vienna cops and neighborhood watch, there just aint no rest for the wicked. I'm not big on alcohol, but pretty much any other non-theft crime I am okay with. What's a kid to do? Climbing on top of buildings around here is a bit of a trick and beyond that, exploration is pretty limited. Any abandoned buildings or curious places to visit? I'm just looking for some way to get out of the house.

Dude, go to the freeman store and look under at the tubes. I'm not sure where they go but theyre pretty sick.
Freerunning in Vienna is pretty good too, try it out sometime. But the cops arent to supportive of this one. Just watch out

The tunnels by the Freeman house were always fun when I was a kid. The large tunnel on the right goes back 40 feet or so and has three smaller tunnels that continue, one of them has an exit around the Northside Park. The small middle tunnel just runs parallel to the large one on the right. The tunnel on the left goes back 70 feet or so and splits off into two tunnels, I never really explored much into those two.

The Northside Park was always fun to explore, there used to be a pistol range there when I was a kid. Also was used as a trash dump, was fun to look around.

Too bad there's no longer an arcade at Tysons, that was always fun on weekends.

What do you mean illegal entertainment? Don't go car hopping and doing dumb shit like that, and if you're taking about smoking up, just be responsible and do it inside, it's not worth it getting in trouble with the police.

If you don't have a part time job, you should consider getting one, more money in your pocket might help solve your boredom.

Do you have a car and drivers license? There's a lot to do if you have a car or one of your friends has one. :)

forget smoking up inside. Go to a creek or out in the woods and enjoy nature with some friends while you enjoy your plants. don't just sit inside rotting away in front of the TV.

Get a mountain bike. If you have no experience on it, start slow on the gravel path along W&OD west of town, it's super easy but will let you get the feel. Then go to Cross County trail, north through Tamarack Park starts 200 feet east of Hunter Mill Road, south starts ~1000 feet west of Hunter Mill just beyond the hill on W&OD. You can get all the way to Great Falls park if you go north, and the trail is longer than anybody can do in a day if you go south. Then, when it is easy for you, go to Fairfax Lake Park. You don't need a car for that if you live in Vienna, and you'll get plenty of adrenaline and good exercise. Just don't forget your helmet - everybody falls sooner or later.

Get a road bike. Go east to Arlington and DC. Explore the cities. Wear your helmet.

Get a girl. Wear your "helmet".

Start a business. Lot's of adrenaline too sometimes.
