What is up for with the Vienna team Changing thier name from Velocity to Glory. While I like the Glory... it does not flow Vienna Velocity Vienna Glory - Red.
Why are they bringing in Ringer player with Madison don't they have a good enough team...They should get people who at least have kids in program Susan Wells daughter plays for mclean - why does she make the decisions. she is probably out to ruin the program due to the fact that her kid did not make the team!!!

I know She send out an email tonight aobut stay with program. We are out to much politics. Can't stand that woman she is so 2 face. she will tell you here's field and you get there and someone else has it. They should have left it alone. The end of Ssoftball in vienna. Girls will play baseball

The glory is ok. they are just elite. --- they will eliminate anybody who is not- plus they (Glory) travels alot like California, some people can not afford that.

Sad but Wells and the rest of vienna only care about people with money. It's the girls who lose out!!
They should have kept velocity.. it was better.

I played with VGSL growing up and I have graduated college but did not play there.
My best memories are the fact that alot of the same girls played together. The team stayed friends. I still take with 4 of them after all these years. It's sad that they keep breaking up the teams. Vienna will never have a solid organization until they realize that. Glory does that but they will draw and bring in girls from outside vienna. the VGSL girls will lose out. But VGSL will make money... guess that is what Susan and the board care about.

S Clair did you play house league or travel for Vienna? VGSL is a nonprofit and is not out to make money. Be sure of what you are stating before complaining.

I know they are a non profit... but they do make money. They still get paid they are just supposed to use it on the fields, uniforms and team. And works with "people" and only select people to get new uniforms and bags that cost the parents. While some of their kids get the free kickback from the amount spent. Does not matter anyway heard this week that Glory tryouts the coaches did not even write a thing down. Only looking for ELITE... to pad Their team. what is glory bringing to Vienna? Suzy coaches her own teams. She coaches high school she is not going to be a every 10, 12 and 14 practice. So maybe 1 time a month you will get her to stop in.. But she will take fields and spots from better than house, not elite players and the high schools like Madison, oakton, marshall, Chantilly will suffer.

Again you do not know what you are talking about. Every house league sport charges a fee and uses it for fields, equipment, coach training, uniforms, insurance, etc. if your talking about travel teams, then you might have valid points on the cost to parents and coach kids playing for free or more playing time. I know nothing about Suzi so cannot respond to that. My experience is that house league gets first preference on fields and then to travel teams. Give it a chance. It might be ok.
