I can't believe this, there's yet another mattress store opening up in Vienna, in that odd new building (with virtually no parking) at the intersection of Glyndon and Maple Ave...

awesome! i'm needing several new ones.
i drove by that building the other day and noticed what looked like a counter with stools, my guess is a coffee shop type joint, as we dont have enough of them already.

I hope this new coffee place has better parking than that hapless cafe on the corner of Park and Rt123. I've watched too many fights/almost fights occur over parking spots in the Chipolte/Noodles strip mall to even think about taking a car in there...

I think most of the chipotle etc. parking is now just blatantly using the walgreens/future petsmart parking.. i mean, it is always empty...

I once parked right on the edge of the Walgreen's parking lot to pick up an order from Chipotle - about in the center of this image:

Unknown to me, about 4 cars away from mine was a guy whose job was simply to watch for people parking in the lot without going into the grocery store. He would IMMEDIATELY call a tow truck to haul their car away. Fortunately for me, my order was waiting and I was back within a minute - in time to see him standing behind my car, cell phone in hand, waiting for the truck. He did not create any hassle when I left before the tow truck arrived.

How long ago was this? I'd be inclined to go fuck with the guy just for having such a douchebag job.

About 5+ years ago - 2004-2006 time frame.
The lot I parked in is/was quite clearly marked with signs saying the equivalent of "You're gonna get towed! Don't do it!" so I can't really blame the store(s) there for actually enforcing it, however I was a little surprised at HOW they were doing it (in hindsight the methodology totally makes sense - equivalent of a gate guard).

Would they tow an occupied car? Go with a buddy and have him slump down in the seat. Go into Chipotle and video it with your phone.
