We really need a Mayor who isn't sold out to the big money special interests in Fairfax City. Jerry is just the guy to do the job.

I'm voting for him. I think the career politicians on the council need someone like him to keep them alert and on their toes, as in: Gerry is going to make a stupid stink about this, let's rethink it.

This is not how politicians think, this is how government workers think - the ones that have to carry out policies and procedures set forth by those politicians.
Politicians just think what the average person would make a stink about and run it up a flagpole to test the wind. If anything, Gerry is a good barometer of what the general public wouldn't give two shits about. Gerry is really only focused on his issues (abortion, gays, morality, etc.), and he only uses the other issues as an excuse to pick at the incumbents. He has no focus, its all bad and he would probably order mass executons if elected (I kid).
If he could manage to focus himself and keep his attacks less personal and more issue-based, he might garner a few more votes but he is a loon (in my opinion) that just doesn't respect the difference between unloading his personal feelings and having a political stance that is palatable to the general public. Until he can demonstrate that, he will always be a side-show freak in the local political circus.

Received campaign material from him that resembled a hater screed.
Others focused on economic development, quality of life, etc.
