Just saw there's a Cheesecake shack on Fairfax Blvd, by Hooters.

Their Key Lime cheesecake is pretty good. Don't know why they still have the "Grand Opening" sign up when they've been there for at least 6 months. Love their location, though. Must be the only old Fotomat building still in use.

Well it appears that they are no longer here :( wont be able to stop and get my daily cake today, looks like a long drive home tonight. Maybe they'll put in a bread place and sell it by the slice, or a place that just sells shoe laces individually or in pairs, now that would be something...and make just as much sense.

Could be a good site to run a snowball stand out of during the summer.

I used to own a business in that shopping center before Regency bought it from Howard Sharpe for a ridiculous amount of money which Sharpe is now using to roll his Cuban cigars in and smoke while lying on his private beach in Florida.

Anyway, Regency doesn't give a hoot about the tenants. They bought that place to tear it down and rebuild but economy tanked and they got the brakes put on by city council. That shopping center is like the frikkin Bates Motel. No one wants to go there. The section that burnt down is like an omen to any potential shoppers. I bet the city had to threaten them to finally fix the old peeling illegible pile-on sign.

I don't get how anyone can make money in that fotohut. Coffee seemed the most reasonable. Those owners left because the couple who ran it broke up. Cheesecake? Don't get it.

It'll probably just sit there empty, adding to the deathly and decrept ambiance of that whole shopping center.
