Looking to talk to someone who built a custom home in Fairfax or City of Fairfax. How realistic is it to secure a plot of land (pretend something magically appeared) or buy a tear down for $450k. Do site development for ~$150k, then build an Evergreen home priced around $450. All in, to move in day, can this be done for $1M? Did you stick to your budget? What did you wish you knew before you did this?
