Diners in the Area

So working as a server in Fairfax, VA I have come to realize a few things:
Foreigners don't understand how to properly tip, e.g. leave $4 on a $52 bill.. at least leave 10%
People love to have their servers run around like circus animals to treat them like shit
Even when they're out to eat for an "experienced", Facebook and Instagram are more important than ordering food until they see their server running around like crazy for other tables then it's of the utmost importance that their needs are met.
I hate this area and the snobs. If I weren't here for college, believe me, I'd be loooong gone.
Second to last comment: 18% is the new tipping standard. Please consider: 15% when service is eh, 18% when everything was met but could have been better and 20%+ when expectations are exceeded. It's a bit insulting to get a compliment then a 10% tip.
Last comment: please complete the online surveys. Jobs actually use that to learn about our performance.
Thank you!
