I am disgusted, but not surprised,by some of the information that came out on the forum for the people running for Sheriff in Fairfax County. It appears that there may be some serious issues pertaining to the way the City Police Department. Wolfe running for Sheriff seemed to throw some of the departments dirty laundry out on display

I am especially appaled to read about the officer who was writing fraudulent tickets and simply walked away...and the City continued to collect the fines AFTER KNOWING WHAT HE WAS DOING!!! Several people seemed to have information on this issue

now I know you can't believe everything that's posted....so

I would like to hear more about this agency...
Anyone have any more info?

Hi, can anyone provide any information on the rules of Police Departments. Earlier this year I was stopped on Westbound I-66 by a City of Fairfax Police Officer. I was driving Westbound when a Police vehicle came up behind me with lights and sirens on. I immediately stopped and the officer approached and stated that I had almost struck a vehicle in the City of Fairfax. Apparently a person had called and complained about my driving. I have no idea what they were talking about. Anyway, it has bothered me because I have spoken with several people who say the officer, I believe he was a supervisor as he had gold patches and I think that signifies rank, had no right to stop me because I did not commit a crime, and I was out of his jurisdiction. Any insight would be appreciated.

Virginia commonwealth code permits city officers to enforce criminal code up to a mile outside of their jurisdiction.
