What's up with that couple at the corner of Ferndale and the W&od trail??

I see them putting cones out on the road to save spots for their many many vehicles--isn't ferndale for public parking? I haven't seen any markings for individual residents on the street, and they put rope all around their yard with oh-so-friendly keep out signs, and then the man is always sitting in the yard staring at all us poor trail users like he's ready to whip out a shot gun and tell us to "get" like some hillbilly....

I've used the trail a few times a week for the past 5 yrs or so and just find this behavior laughable: anyone else??

they are assholes. the son is a drug addict that was locked up for banging a 14 yo and the mom was about to go away for embezzling $400k.

I'm sure they are trying to save some parking for themselves. This section of townhouses has way to many Mexicans filling up a few houses.like 10 people or so to one house. they fill our entire parking lot and both sides of the sketchy street on Barton oaks and usually park on ferndale

I thought that neighborhood was "up-and-coming" is it not?

Why not people of Herndon also care about connecting "Greenspace such as the W&OD with cultural resource of the American Civil War ?
