I'm at mason for digital photography class. Any unique places to take some photos? I went over to Clifton last week and that was pretty good.

Oakwood Drive and South Van Dorn heading North. It overlooks Alexandria. Beautiful night city scene. Also exiting S. Van Dorn onto 495 traveling towards Tyson’s off ramp at night before Springfield Interchange. Looks of cars with red tail lights in multiple levels of ramps. Has lots of potential for great shots. Also the work zones at night on 66 and 495 has lots of fantastic shots with right camera. 12am.

If you check out the night scene at S, Van Dorn and Oakwood Road if you scout it out stay in the middle lane on Van Dorn so you don’t end up on 495. You will need a chauffeur.

Also the train track runs overhead as you run down S Van Dorn. On a Foggy night or low ceilings of clouds it’s a spectacular catch. But be careful wherever you go. Crazy traffic.

One more recommendation. The car wash at Shell at Union Mill Road and Giant. TBD car wash is psychedelic in colors. With suds , water it’s a super catch for photography. Also RT 28 EC Lawrence park athletic fields at night. The play in rain , sleet , snow. Plus fog. Great pictures. Not sure if they would mind? Also that area has lots of crows , hawks, owls migrating crows. Foxes. Great area if your lucky to be there at right time.
