On March 24, 2005, 52-year-old Kiran V. Kadian was stabbed to death by her son, 20-year-old Jayant Kadian, in the kitchen of the family home at 10005 Thompson Ridge Court in Great Falls.
Jayant, who had recently been arrested for the third time for marijuana possession, attacked his mother from behind with a butcher knife. He stabbed his mother 23 times in the neck and 7 times in the body.
Kiran had been making a plate of food for her son, which was found on the counter of the kitchen where he murdered her.
