I know people that make more than myself and they get food stamp cards. As a single person how much do I have to make to qualify or should I just quit work altogether? I have already applied for section 8 housing but the lady said it could be a few months before I am approved. She said she does not handle the food stamps and referred me to social services. They wont return my calls.

Its a supplemental nutritional programme by government. So if You have any problem buying food You can take help of Food stamps.
