Why the heck was this pled down from a felony to a simple misdemeanor? And then most of it suspended. Especially with her record? What does she have to do next time for the legal system to understand that she is a violent person and a risk to the community - shoot the cop?

I hate to think that this happens all the time, but I'm guessing that it does.
