So Mike is wowed by some celebrities donating money to the anti-2nd Amendment cause.

I'd be wowed if these same celebrities gave up their armed security protection. It's hypocritical of them to lobby to take away our right to defend ourselves while they pay for armed security guards.

It's words that rhyme with "wild horn". Not the actual illegal stuff but just the words "child porn".

Been busy lately, but expect an infusion of fun and comedy shortly from the main man, Gallagher! Pics too!!

Please, in the meantime, enjoy this Carly Simon hit!
——————

Baby sneezes
Mummy pleases
Daddy breezes in
So good on paper
So romantic
But so bewildering

I know nothing stays the same
But if you're willing to play the game
GALLAGHER’s coming around again

So don't mind if I fall apart
There's more room in a broken heart

You pay the grocer
Fix the toasted
Kiss the host good-bye
Then you break a window
Burn the souffl?
Scream the lullaby

I know nothing stays the same
But if you're willing to play the game
GALLAGHER’s coming around again

So don't mind if I fall apart
There's more room in a broken heart

And I believe in love
But what else can I do
I'm so in love with you

I know nothing stays the same
But if you're willing to play the game
GALLAGHER’s coming around again

I know nothing stays the same
But if you're willing to play the game
GALLAGHER’s coming around again

After 3 uneventful weeks the wife had the worst bowel movement of her life and partially ripped the grab bar off the wall steel blocking and all. As she fell it was the usual stream of liquid shit. Clean up with the hose and tiled ceiling was a breeze but unfortunately our dog was in the john with her at the time and got a thick coat of shit all over his face and ears. I had to carry him to slop sink and give him a scrub down.

Re: The Mike O'Meara Show

Just finished a week of having Gallagher (still alive - go figure.) at our club and all I can say is: "Man, what an asshole!" Not simply in a wow-is-he-kinda-standoffish manner, but an asshole of major proportions. How much of an asshole? Enough to elected mayor of Assholia - should such a place exist.

There. I've gotten enough references to get this listed as the top site in "Gallagher+Asshole" search. Now I can move on.

First some history. The mid-to-late '70's stand as perhaps the era of our nation's most questionable tastes. Swag Lamps, Farrah Hair and the Trans-Am were all popular. Me, I blame cocaine - the drug that was to the '70's what the Martini was to '50's, LSD was to the '60's or cocaine was to the '80's - i.e. the drug of choice amongst those defining the aesthetic. At the time, cocaine was everywhere. Whether fueling the dying disco scene or nourishing the nascent punk movement or even helping to fund the Delorean, coke was it.

And perhaps nowhere was cocaine's presence more manifest than in comedy. Back in the day - so I am told - it was not uncommon for clubs to pay comics in the white powder. The rampant coke use of the Saturday Night Live performers is well documented. And really what was Robin Williams other than a very well-paid coke rant?

Which brings us to Gallagher. While I'm not going to suggest that either Gallagher or his audiences were coke users, (at least until I have a lawyer tell me it's OK), I will submit that one doesn't have to snort a line in order to smell the Zeitgeist. Manic, mindless humor was dominant and what could be more manic or more mindless than smashing watermelons? Gallagher rode a stimulant-fanned wave of popularity appearing in several cable-TV specials consisting of about 40 minutes of stand-up followed by 20 minutes of hitting things with a hammer. Life was good.

Eventually the joy of seeing produce destroyed wore off. Face it, there are only so many way to hit something with a hammer before the spectator gets the feeling he knows what will happen. "Of course! The watermelon burst after being hit with a hammer. How could I have not foreseen such a thing!" Anyway, after the initial surge of popularity died down, Gallagher settled into playing small theatres, state fairs and Vegas. Oh and somewhere along the way he bought into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and made enough money buy his own watermelon farm.

In the early '90's, as Carrot Top gained in popularity, Gallagher - deciding that the world wasn't big enough for two prop comics - hatched a plan to derail Carrot Top's career.

This is, by the way, Major-League-Asshole point # 1. While some might find it laudable to stop Carrot Top, and indeed - if done by some comic purist who could not bear to see stand-up debased so - I myself might applaud [Just kidding C.T.] But to do so only because you feel you are the only one who can use props? There's a word for that: Asshole

Anyhoo, the plan was to send Gallaghaer's brother Ron out to work the smaller venues armed with Gallagher's jokes, wardrobe and mallet thereby under-cutting the enemy Carrot Top. Under the name Gallagher II would be able to do everything Gallagher I could do. Almost. Apparently it was contractually verboten for Ron to smash a watermelon. This was to be his downfall.

I saw Ron in '94 or so and let me say that yes, he looked like the original and he did sound like the original and yeah, he had the jokes and props but he didn't have the timing - or more soecifically any timing. Or charisma. Which brings us to Major-League-Asshole point #2 - fobbing off an inferior rip-off of yourself to make make money from greedy club owners eager to suck the wallets of gullible Gallagher fans (one owner would have his emcees announce "Next week we will have so-and-so and Gallagher II!" cleverly exploiting the fact that "two" sounds a lot like "too")

For some reason, while Ron toured the country disappointing audiences the relationship turned sour. Some say it was becuse Ron was trying to pass himself off as the real Gallagher, but since that seemed to be the whole point of the arrangement, I find that hard to believe. My own theory is that Gallagher I was starting to feel threatened by his brother. After all if Carrot Top was a threat how much more threatening a cheaper version of the same act? Whatever the cause, the upshot is that Gallagher sued his brother to cease and desist. And if you guessed that was MLA point #4 move two spaces ahead.

Cut a few years to 2005. The place: The Riverside Resort, located in Laughlin, NV (ah Laughlin, the K-Mart to Vegas' Target), Gallagher is performing and smacks an audience member (#5!).Here's the story: "[the customer] told police Gallagher stepped from the stage onto his table, told the waitress she was ruining the show, then slapped [the customer] on the side of the head and returned to the stage."

"'I'd give it a three on a scale of one to 10,' Gallagher said of the strike. 'I don't think I hit him very hard. He stayed and laughed for 45 minutes. ... He was among the loudest laughers.'

A source familiar with the incident said [the customer] left immediately and complained to security."

"'The customers were scared,'[Riverside entertainment director Roy] Jernigan said. 'About 40 people got up and left immediately' after the incident. 'The (waitress) started crying. He was totally out of control.'"
"The comedian had worked at the Riverside for 12 or 13 years, but his attendance numbers had dwindled in recent appearances, Jernigan said. 'We had problems with him before but never this serious,' the entertainment director added."

But you see, it wasn't his fault.

'It's a difficult situation because the ones in the front are dumb and stupid, and they'd been drinking," Gallagher said by telephone Tuesday. "When the waitress comes to the front and steals the spotlight ... it's extremely distracting to the magical moments I'm trying to create.'

Dumb and stupid - well they did go to see Gallagher, so he may have a point there.

"A source familiar with the incident said that children were present in the audience and that some parents were outraged by Gallagher's vulgarity-laced tirade."

Ladies and Gentlemen, We have an Asshole.

Q: You’ve received considerable grief from critics for using props.

A: In the early days, Jay Leno told me that props are the enemy of wit. Now Jay uses props on his show all the time. Dave (Letterman) has smashed things on his show and has worn a Teflon suit. (Editor’s note: Actually, Letterman occasionally wears a Velcro suit.) All that has that Gallagher flair, but I’m not on their shows. It’s amazing. Dave and I used to work the same club in the (San Fernando) Valley all the time.

Q Why won’t Jay Leno or David Letterman book you for their shows, considering you started out together?

A: I don’t know. Johnny (Carson) hated me, and I was on his “Tonight Show.”

Q: How was Letterman’s stand-up?

A: It was terrible. You see how it is every night. He does three jokes. But Dave once told me that he didn’t need an act. He told me that he was going to be a talk-show host. What I never got was that he was never funny enough to be a guest, so how does he become the host? But that’s America for you. America wants the mediocre. It doesn’t want the heroic or the moral.

Q: Much of your set is spontaneous.

A: That’s by design. A spontaneous moment will get twice the response of a set joke. I figured out a long time ago to work spontaneously. Robin Williams does this. But Robin always has C-level jokes since he does them so spontaneously. The thing about him is that when he says something, you think, “What does that mean?” . . . Everything he says seems funny but it’s not really a joke. He was well known for taking jokes because he’s an actor looking for a script. The same goes for Chevy Chase and Tom Hanks.

Q: How was Hank’s stand-up?

A: It was terrible.

Q: But he went on to become a huge star.

A: Yes, it’s frustrating. He didn’t go on the road (as a stand-up) and work anywhere. I went off on the road and worked. He and Michael Keaton would meet someone in the movie business and, bang, they’re millionaires and living in Beverly Hills. You have (my) skill and ability and you’re renting a condo.

Q : So Michael Keaton was a stand-up?

A: He was a terrible comedian. Jim Carrey was embarrassing. He didn’t know where to go with that broad, overplayed action that he has. He could really look stupid. It amazes me that these comedians have serious acting careers.

What qualifies them to be serious actors? Serious actors must be irritated by this. Why does Jim Carrey get a serious part when he got famous by overacting?

Q: How did it feel when you received the news that you were the 100th best stand-up according to Comedy Central?

A: It stunk. I looked at the other people and I was trying to find anyone I ever heard of. How could I be behind people I never heard of? How many of these people stayed in the business for 20 years? I made 13 one-hour shows for Showtime, which are available on videotape. I invented the one-man show on cable.

Q: What’s it like to be an outsider after all these years in the business?

A : It could be worse. I guess I’m lucky I’m not the 101st person on that list. I might not be accepted in New York and L.A., but I have my fans and they’ve been very good to me.

The Celebrity Theatre's marquee read "The Return of Gallagher" on Friday night, but a more accurate legend would have been "The Rerun of Gallagher." The balding, slovenly comedian doused his Anaheim audience with a predictable stream of ridicule and liquids, adding little to the self-consciously offensive persona he's used as an act for the past decade.

Barely a shred of topical humor entered Gallagher's nearly 3-hour show; a crack about the scatological sound of Michael Dukakis' name and a repeated warning to use condoms in the decade he called the "Nineteen-AIDS-ies," sufficed for Gallagher's social criticism.

Instead, there was pun after tired pun, punctuated with slurs for modern comedy's familiar enemies list: homosexuals, fat people, politicians, television evangelists, government agencies. For big laughs, Gallagher turned to his prop boxes, pulling out such devices as a "handgun" (a pistol that fires plastic hands) and a "baby on board" (a doll nailed to a wooden plank).

The comedian's fans, many wearing plastic rain ponchos decorated with Gallagher's stylized image, eagerly awaited his famous assaults on the audience. Gallagher happily obliged, spraying the crowd with enormous water guns disguised as stuffed animals, articles of furniture and, in an image characteristic of Gallagher's taste, a "moose douche." As a running joke, the comedian teased his audience with a search through the prop boxes for a "possum uterus" that, enigmatically, he never found.

If Gallagher had presented himself merely as a crude showman, his ceaseless banality might have been tolerable; after all, here is a comic best known for smashing vegetables with a sledgehammer. But Gallagher threatened even the faint amusement possible from his malapropism-based humor with frequent sanctimony about his self-appointed mission to enlighten America.

With a fervor approaching that of the TV evangelists he ridicules, Gallagher proclaimed that his was "a meaningful show. I want to change your life," he told the audience, which responded with cheers of "Gallagher for President!" and "Gallagher for Emperor!"

"It's my job to yell at the world," he yelled at his audience again and again. "I'm tired of the ignorance! I'm tired of the stupidity!"

Despite this constant railing against ignorance and stupidity, Gallagher's act fed on them. He praised himself for courage in telling San Franciscans that they "live in a bowl of granola; whatever's not fruits or nuts is flakes." Other important concerns to which America might heretofore have turned a blind eye: exercise guru Richard Simmons' sexual orientation and the comeliness of Ruth Westheimer, the elderly TV sex therapist.

For Gallagher, further insights into the true nature of the world were to be gleaned from the sort of puns that children extract from everyday phenomena; the Transportation Department, he said, has posted road signs explaining the cause of flatulence--"Gas-Food-Lodging."

Yet, by combining his unique parade of visual gags with the vulgar tirades that pass for contemporary stand-up comedy, Gallagher enthralled his audience for the show's first hour and a half. What he lacked in material, he offered in energy, circling his stage in the Celebrity's theater-in-the-round, encouraging the audience to yell back at him, even handing out $50 bills to spectators whose jokes he decided excelled his own.

After a 45-minute intermission, however, Gallagher lost the even the mindless brand of enthusiasm that propels his act. He repeated several jokes from show's first half, to the boos of the increasingly disenchanted audience. After a half-hearted attempt to get the crowd to join in an obscene sing-along, Gallagher turned to his most reliable gag: the Sledge-O-Matic.

Reflecting the originality and freshness of his entire show, Gallagher's grand finale parodied a discontinued product manufactured by a firm that declared bankruptcy years ago. Still, Gallagher's well-practiced Sledge-O-Matic act approached the unintentional humor of the original Ronco Veg-O-Matic commercials aired in the 1970s.

Wielding his sledgehammer, Gallagher destroyed an array of foodstuffs, each of which splattered into the plastic-clad front rows of the theater. Chocolate milk, cottage cheese, grapes, watermelon--all received this treatment. The destruction continued as Gallagher pounded every laugh he could from the sledgehammer, even paying $50 to the audience member who could catch a bottle of detergent as it was hurled from the Sledge-O-Matic anvil.

Few of Gallagher's gags could have surprised his fans; all have appeared in varying forms on his many television appearances over the past decade. However, the personal contact between performer, audience and food product may ultimately be the key to imparting Gallagher's profound insights to America.

Asked to assess her life-changing Gallagher experience, one 29-year-old fan quickly responded: "When I drive down the road and see that 'Gas-Food-Lodging' sign, it'll never be the same again."

5 am guy checking in. 5am guy had a rough week. 5am guy came to terms with reality and realizes he does not like women anymore. 5am guy went to a park in Manassas during his day off and offered blowjobs to random men, just to make sure. Several men accepted offer. One Hispanic man even gave 5am guy anal sex. 5am guy enjoyed the sex with random men much more than sex with women. 5am guy has also noticed bowel problems have suddenly disappeared since the anal sex. 5am guy is now considering a sex change. 5 am guy made appointment for a consultation but is worried that his insurance provider will not cover it. 5 am guy has started wearing a wig and women’s clothing in the meantime. 5am guy is super excited because he gave hispanic man Javier from the park his phone mumber and has already has a 2nd date lined up. Javier is a janitor and works similar schedule.

Also "I will tell you..." or "I will tell you this."

The guy writing the Gallager role in the interview above: Johnny wouldn't have him because he realized prop comedy is stupid, at least the way Gallagher does it. Leno DID give him his first ever Tonight Show appearance when Leno was guest-hosting. So that was another Gallagher lie.

"You have (my) skill and ability and you’re renting a condo." Precisely as it should be. Strictly speaking the universe is being too lenient.

Notice that Failagher is careful to say he invented the one man comedy special on cable "on Showtime." Suggests he didn't actually invent it. Looks like Robert Klein beat him by about 6 years on HBO (1975)

Letterman WAS a good talk show guest and Robin Williams DID make good jokes Gallagher and his fans, especially the one here, ARE idiots.

In bed, throw the covers on your head
You pretend like you are dead
But I know it, the GALLAGHER is gonna gey'cha

GALLAGHER is gonna get'cha
GALLAGHER is gonna get'cha
GALLAGHER is gonna get you
The GALLAGHER is gonna get you tonight

No way, you can fight it every day
But no matter what you say

No clue, of what's happening to you
And before this night is through
Ooh baby the GALLAGHER is gonna get'cha

Anyone catch Mike's knock on monetizing Podcasts? Has Kappy bailed? Too bad Mike wasted any momentum he had after WJFK, he could have made another near mill over the years. Did you know he had the opportunity to work with Danny Bonaduce? That would have been a steady check but instead Mike teamed up with Robbb and Oscar! It'll be ok though because Mike just sold his Harley and one of his cars!
I even went and listened to a little of Danny's show online and he was talking about his $5000 dollar oven. And he wasn't selling it...

I wonder if Mike got 5 large for his Harley?

Mike, do you regret not taking the Bonaduce gig? Do you think you could even pull 40k now? How's MikeOvo going?

Mike, did you know Robbb put in for Chili's morning show producer? They blew him off because he hasn't done anything in the industry for almost 10 years and they're not a podcast. So I guess podcasts are not radio after all...

Goofing on JOTT's furniture??????????? I guess O'Meara's Pub's left overs were not available? What a dick. It kills Mike that Jimmy continues to grow and be successful. Even SDM could use their WiFi...with his laptop.

Mike loves to put down those who are not on their third wife with a belly growing and a kid growing up in a retirement community in FLA. He is selling off all belongings. He begs for handouts all week.

Would he look his only child he ever raised in the eye and say "be like me"?

Mike's blind spot is similar to the Gallagher poster's blind spot.

Mike doesn't realize that so few people listen to his podcast anymore that it's unlikely anything he does is going to provoke a pronounced reaction.

Similarly, Gallagher guy doesn't realize so few people, even the hardcore regulars, check in on this thread, and check it so infrequently, that they're not annoying nearly as many people as they think they are.

I guarantee Gallagher guy checks this thread waaaaaaayyyyy more, and with more interest, than any of us. Which checks out, insofar as TMOS fans have always been waaaaaayyyy more invested in what happens in this thread than any of us.

Laugh away today, laugh away tomorrow.
Never comes the day for Gallagher and me.
I feel him gently sighing as the evening slips away.

If only you knew what's inside of me now
You wouldn't want to know me somehow,
But
You will love me tonight,
We alone will be alright,
In the end.

Give just a little bit more
Take a little bit less
From each other tonight
Admit what you're feeling
And see what's in front of you,
It's never out of your sight.
You know it's true,
We all know that it's true.

Laugh away today, laugh about tomorrow
Never comes the day for Gallagher and me.
I feel him gently sighing as the evening slips away.

Gallagher is the Nigger of the World
by John Lennon

----

Gallagher is the nigger of the world
Yes he is...think about it
Gallagher is the nigger of the world
Think about it...do something about it

We make him smash his melons and dance
If he won't be slave, we say that he don't love us
If he's real, we say he's trying to be a man
While putting him down we pretend that he is above us
Gallagher is the nigger of the world...yes he is
If you don't believe me take a look at the one you're with
Gallagher is the slaves of the slaves
Ah yeah...better scream about it
We make him bear and raise our children
And then we leave him flat for being a fat old mother hen
We tell him home is the only place he would be
Then we complain that he's too unworldly to be our friend
Gallagher is the nigger of the world...yes he is
If you don't believe me take a look at the one you're with
Gallagher is the slaves of the slaves
Yeah (think about it)

We insult him everyday on TV
And wonder why he has no guts or confidence
When he's young we kill his will to be free
While telling him not to be so smart we put him down for being so dumb
Gallagher is the nigger of the world...yes he is
If you don't believe me take a look to the one you're with
Gallagher is the slaves of the slaves
Yes she is...if you believe me, you better scream about it.

[Repeat:]
We make him paint his face and dance
We make him paint his face and dance
We make him paint his face and dance

Dear Mister Gallagher smash some produce
Something to make us all happy
Do anything take us out of this gloom
Sing a song, use a prop, make it snappy
You are the one who can make us all laugh
But doing that you break out in tears
Please don't be sad if it was a straight mind you had
We wouldn't have known you all these years

Dear Mister Gallagher smash us a fruit
Something to make us all happy
Do anything take us out of this gloom
Use a prop, sing a song, make it snappy
You are the one who can make us all laugh
But doing that you break out in tears
Please don't be sad if it was a straight mind you had
We wouldn't have known you all these years

Sing a song, use a prop, make it witty

This thread used to be so much better years ago. There’s nothing worse than reading peekza and the other dipshits attempt to insult Mike over and over with the same stale pictures and lame material. Clearly low IQ individuals, especially peekza. This Gallagher cat and the poop guys have brought new life in here for now anyways. Please keep posting!

Wife had an 'emergency' in the basement while doing laundry and ended up breaking the last remaining porcelain toilet in our house. The upstairs toilets have been replaced with reinforced steel with grab bars and floor to ceiling tile and hose bib for clean up. The plumber said the sheer force required to break the toilet was in excess of 4000 lbs. Wife is fine but the bathroom was coated in hot liquid shit as she spun off the shattered toilet. Living with IBS sucks...

Lost all respect for Robb. I used to wonder why he was so hated by posters here. He seemed like a pathetic pleaser to me. Always trying to placate the pompous and churlish Mike.

But I learned of some of his backstabbing ways. Now I know why his former colleagues can't stand him.

And now his desperate attempts to bring down this page... hopeless and hapless Robb drunkenly venting his life's frustrations with obnoxious postings here.
You'll never destroy us, Robb. You merely demonstrate what a pathetic loser you are.

Peek, help a bro out! I'm jonesin' for jizz! I need the sweet sweet taste of man cock. The nog cock guy is all talk. Sure he showed up at the George Washington Masonic Memorial parking lot but the sex was disappointing.

Tweeting about my cats and how Robb is a backstabber just doesn't do it anymore. I need your sweet release Peek! Any way you want! I can host.

Jormond was fucked by Blobb. Out right FUCKED. Down right FUCKED. The phoniest guy in radio is BLOBB. Tony realized that fast. Tony is really smart. Realized Blobb was a leach! He took Rofo over Blobb. Think about that. Rofo has a better future than Blobb.

O hides it now. To keep mike under wrap. He knows that Blobb Fucked Jormand. So called allegiance to BOAD is ok. Not brining up Jormaond is fake!

Blobb lives a life supported by only Mike. Before that it was a Big Daddie thing. You don't thing he ripped off his family sucking that tit????

Out of the TMOS gang, who has never stood on his own two feet other than knowing the CPU codes at Safeway? Fucking Blobb.

What a loser. O..Get out! You are two heart attacks from nothing.....
