Even if we assume for the sake of argument that Mr. Misery is teling the truth - a dubious assumption indeed - if we further assume that the hypothetical "taking" entails him being torn in half, then the size or weight of the "only thing fat" on him becomes entirely irrelevant, as the eagle will leave that "fat thing" on the ground for the rats, wood mice and other vermin who populate the earth, whilst taking flight into the heavens with the by definition not fat remaining portion of Mr. Misery.
