Cain In March: "No Skeletons In My Closet"

"I don't have any of those kind of
skeletons in my closet," Cain assured
the conservative bloggers. "And what
I have told people [is] if they come
up with something to try to damage my
reputation, they will have made it
up."- Herman "I'd Hit It" Cain

“Wall Street is typically thought of as investment banking
and banking and we were not an investment bank or a bank.
But we were in the financial services sector generally,"
Romney said. "I am not a Wall Street guy, classically
defined.” - Willard "Mitt" Romney, December 29, 2011.

If all it turns out to be is that he asked a woman up to his room - what of it? Even if he did so suggestively - what, an index finger through a ring made by fingers on his other hand? Grabbing her ass?

That really isn't much of a "skeleton" - and the settlements will most likely turn out to be exactly what we thought - a small cash payoff rather than go through expensive litigation for both sides. Can it be any worse than what was implied by this photo?

Where have you been, RV? So far, there are three (3)
women who’ve come forward to accuse Cain, and two
male who witnesses Cain’s inappropriate behaviors.
At least two of the women were compensated for their
troubles, one received an entire year’s salary. Spin away,
my friend, but a pattern of inappropriate behavior is emerging
and it doesn’t look good for Herman.

At the very least, Cain is guilty of mishandling this situation.

The classic and OFT-repeated-recently "two wrongs make a right" excuse of the braindead is amusing.

[of course, looking is not the same thing that CAIN is accused of, but, Hell, who needs TRUTH when The Imploding Party is involved!?]

That much I will give you. And it shows poor judgement on his part to not have a better defense in place when these issues surfaced. That will more likely be his downfall than any real issue these allegations.

It isn't two wrongs make a right - it is the fact that the hypocrisy is damning. The allegations are meaningless unless they provide something akin to a rape, or he had an affair while his wife was dying (John Edwards) that was covered up by the media until after it mattered. The point being if it DIDN'T matter for someone like Edwards, then what's the big deal with Cain? Just a bunch of MSM hit jobs - business as usual.

You're equating Cain sexually harassing at least tree (3)
women who worked with/for him with President Obama
glancing at a random woman passing him at a G8 Summit?
Really? You’ve gone off the rails, man.

Cain has acknowledged that the organization he led had
to pay-off the victims of his sexual harassment. Evidence
doesn’t get much more damning than that.

You keep telling yourself that, RV, if it allows you to
sleep at night. Fortunately, the American voter will,
I think, not prove quite so self-delusional.

If Obama can sit in Rev Wrongs church for twenty years and not have heard a word, then Cain could have forgotten this claim.
