In legal documents in its federal case against Jeffrey Howell, a Scottsdale, Ariz., man who kept a collection of about 2,000 music recordings on his personal computer, the industry maintains that it is illegal for someone who has legally purchased a CD to transfer that music into his computer.
. What is the RIAA gonna do next, Sue Microsoft for scripting Rip/burn software and installing CD/DVD drives on thier PC's? Cuz wouldnt MAC/Microsft/dell/HP whoever be Aiding and abetting all us consumers in downloading and copying music? This is completely ridiculous and the RIAA HAS to know that they are attacking their OWN CUSTOMER base!
