From the New York Times, even.

Apparently the wide-eyed, idealistic and democracy minded students groups did the heavy lifting and put a nice face on the upheavel. Now the goons of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Too bad about the secularists, the moderates and the Copts. It won't quite be a Taliban or Al Qaeda takeover, but it's looking like they'll be kissing any peace treaties with Israel goodbye.

We miss you, Hosni.

Yup, this is why the US government supports and funds dictatorships, not only in the middle east but also in Latin America. These power vacuums always seem to get filled with radical, anti-West, anti-democracy groups that exploit their population as much as the former dictators.

The naive think that the only alternative there could ever be to a tyrannical government is a peace loving democracy, that isn't true.
