Yeah, in Spain we had a manual which also happened to be a DIESEL! Try getting that here.
My Sport Touring-Sedan is a 6-SPD, and I was really longing for a stick-shift when I purchased my first car. As for the SUV, I like that in automatic. Manual does give you better control overall for any vehicle, but it's especially noticeable in Sports Cars (I did have an automatic Firebird though (Owned by my parents, for my sis and I), and I'm glad it was so, especially seeing how I was only 17 when driving it).

Lol, I remember as a little kid when I rode with my dad as he attempted to teach my mother how to drive a manual. Luckily, there were a bunch of brand new vacant neighborhoods around here under construction, so we went to one to have at it. It takes a LOT of patience is all I can say, and my father was using his brand new 1987 Nissan 300ZX, so I think it took a lot of love as well.
