Sources (whistleblowers?) are confirming that the FBI filed the warrant based on the fake pictures of torn up paper supposedly from Trumps toilet published by DNC-pimping Axios a day before, indicated that this was evidence Trump would destroy documents and that the DOJ believed Trump had documents that should have been turned over to the National Archives.

However, the real reason was to secure the evidence that the DOJ and Hillary Clinton believe he had, possibly from national security sources, to help in his recently filed lawsuit against Clinton for her role with the made-up Steele dossier.

A hundred bucks says the classified documents Trump stole were related to the investigation into his contacts with Russia. He was afraid they’d be declassified or leaked to the press to embarrass him. Which probably wouldn’t have happened anyway but is now even more likely that he’s made such a mess of his situation.
