MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A Montgomery County district court judge sentenced NBC4 anchor Leon Harris to 10 days in jail on Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, according to reports.

The Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office said Harris was sentenced to a year in jail. But the judge suspended all but 10 days of the sentence, WTOP reporter Neal Augenstein tweeted Tuesday.

Harris also was sentenced to three years of supervised probation and will have to use an interlock device on his car, according to Augenstein.


I guess Leon could rob a bank and Channel 4 still wouldn't fire him.

Leon could have shot up the news station and they wouldn't fire a colored man.
