Morally bankrupt conman and one-term former president Trump's various companies (changed intermittently due to actual bankruptcies) engaged in banking and insurance fraud and income tax evasion as routine business practice for decades. Part of the reason he was so desperate to be reelected was that being President shielded him from prosecutions. Sadly for him, exposing the entire country to his boorish behavior made reelection an impossibility.
