I think that good old vinyl windows are still very good and reliable. I would only like to say that it is really important that you find a good company which will help you with installation. they were supposed to be insulating. all i know is, its been dark in every room of my house. No light gets through.

I don't like aluminium frames and partitions, but French windows based on aluminium look very pretty as for me, I wouldn't refuse from this type of windows in spite of the comparison with prison lol. I'd like to have panoramic windows but my house construction doesn't suppose them, currently checking windows usa reviews , rather interesting.

they are bringing back aluminum frames from the 60's ? what is next, lead paint ?
vinyl gets brittle after sun and weather....go with fiberglass, it is stronger, more insulating and lasts longer stronger
actually if they make the aluminum look better and avoid corrosion, probably the strongest and most long lasting

Aluminum is a good conductor, which depending on environmental factors may not be something that you want.
