Republicans suddenly want healing.. what?

Trump certainly didn't mind hurting the country up until now. Since when has Trump ever asked for healing in the last 4 years.
He doesn't want unity, especially if it means him coming clean and admitting he lied about the elections and other obvious falsehoods that have divided us. He can't and won't subject his ego to fair evaluation and therefore will be forced to continue lying to protect it.
He's like the Coronavirus.
He is the sickness, the virus that has sickened this country and torn us apart. How can we heal without destroying the virus? If he remains in the public eye and has any voice in politics, we will remain sick and eventually die. The only vaccine for this country is for Trump to go way...forever.
