Pretty much agree, but add in one other factor. Narcissism. Trump, in any setting, is singularly unable to admit he was wrong. Ever. So when a reasonable person would say it is time to fold, Donny doubles down. Every time. Now, I guess to his credit, he often seems to come out better than those who bankrolled him. The unfortunate thing is the American people are now bankrolling him.
