Trump doesn't understand that the United States isn't a dictatorship or commie country where you jail anybody who disagrees with you.

Who is he trying to fire? If it's anyone who serves at the pleasure of the president (i.e. any ambassador), he can remove them from their post at any time for any reason. If they are career feds, he might not fire them, but he doesn't have to let them represent his policies as ambassador.

If someone serves on detail to the White House, Trump can have them sent back if they aren't doing the job he expects them to do. That's SOP in the government.
