I have both a Wii & PS3, but I will save my money here.

I dont want Nintendo to be pushed out of the console wars, I love Nintendo!

Maybe the competition will improve the technology...

In other news, EA will be releasing the first game utilizing this unique controller called "Just the tip". It is aimed at women and gay & curious men 18+.

The motion detector thing that Sony came out with initially for the PS3 sucked. I ended up deactivating it for Madden because it kept fucking up the plays. I don't know if the newer Madden games even give you the option to use it.

Not sure how coming up with an improved motion function for an existing counsel is going to work. Personally, I think Sony should have saved its time and money and worked on developing the technology for the PS4, or whatever is coming next. I think the PS3 has been a dud for Sony and it makes no sense to invest more time and energy on it.

Disagree. PS3 is great, imo. I use it for watching BluRay, dvds, netflix & media storage (pics and music) more than video games. And the games I do play are great. Play Uncharted2 and then tell me how much PS3 sucks.

Yep - a lot of people own PS3s because it had BluRay. And honestly, the graphics quality is still better then any other platform. Sure, Xbox and Wii may have more games - that is a failing in Sony's outreach to developers more than anything else.

I have both the Wii and the PS3. I personally play the PS3 more than I do the Wii. But here is the problem with the PS3...

- It was too fucking expensive when it came out.

- Sony did nothing to discourage developers from producing games in both PS2 and PS3 formats. Because the functionality of the early PS3 games often sucked, Sony ended up competing with itself.

- Wii was a breath of fresh air.

- PS3 focused almost solely on the look of the games and actually made developing games for the system much more difficult for game developers.

- Sony waited WAY too long to drop the price.

- What does a Blu Ray player go for these days? It makes more sense just to buy one instead of using the PS3.

Today, I would not advocate buying a PS3 if you want a bluray player. A little over a year ago that was not the case. Most people made that purchase last year or earlier.
