"As per the US Environmental Protection Agency, R22 refrigerant will become illegal in the United States on January 1, 2020. After that R22 refrigerant phase out date, R22 refrigerant can no longer be manufactured or imported into the US."

Don't let the government fine you tens of thousands of dollars and put you in prison. If you still cool with freon you will become a criminal starting next year. Have your system replaced with a puron system soon!

My neighbor still uses freon. Next year will I be able to turn him in and get a reward?

You have to get a license from the EPA then you can buy it on ebay.

There are people in prison right now for smuggling freon.
