Mueller's office says Buzzfeed fake news

The special counsel's office has issued a rare public statement disputing the accuracy of a news report saying that President Donald Trump told his personal attorney Michael Cohen to lie to Congress.

The statement by Robert Mueller's office on Friday night doesn't cite any specific errors.

Spokesman Peter Carr says, "BuzzFeed's description of specific statements to the Special Counsel's Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen's Congressional testimony are not accurate."

Anyone with a brain should have known this was fake news. If Cohen had agreed to testify that Trump ordered him to lie to Congress and had evidence of it - WE WOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT IT MONTHS AGO. And Muller would have included mention of it during the Cohen plea procedures. And in all honesty, if Cohen was willing to testify to this and Mueller had evidence - Mueller should have held a press conference announcing the same a long time ago. If Mueller had real evidence of criminal activity it would be a crime for him to make no mention of it for a year or two and then simply include it in a report. That would be absurd.
