how would you have carey stop human spammers? He already has reCAPTCHA or whatever for proxy servers. If humans are willing to log in and spend an hour posting one spam per minute what is he supposed to do? Even if he required registering that wouldnt stop anyone using throwaway emails.
Its a shit forum about shit in many cases. The waves of spam offer a cleansing flow of love potion ads and promos for whooers. No biggie.
