Spam comes with the territory to some degree but not really in this case. It's a lot easier without adequate measures in place to block it. If you notice, the spambots aren't taking advantage of the anon aspects. They are logged in as registered users. A better means of blocking automated registrations would prevent most of that. Cary doesn't seem to want to or have the time to put into it to maintain things. But it is what it is.
