How do you do a double fold on a business letter?

I had mailed some letters out to clients of my company a couple weeks ago, and did a trifold on them, as I always do with letters. My boss found out, and told me that that was not the proper way to fold business correspondence. She said she wasn't mad, because I did not know that that wasn't the proper way, but said the department head would have been extremely upset had he found out I used a trifold. She told me to a double next time, as this was proper. How exactly do you do a double fold on a letter?
