Copied from another group because every Fairfax County child deserves a $20 water bottle that is as safe as the water we put in it:

You must not understand where your water comes from, and what is done to treat it.

If you did, you would realize that a bottle containing Bisphenol A IS as safe as the water we put in it. Actually, safer, because it doesn't have traces of birth control pills, heart medications, illicit drugs, farm and factory runoff, heavy metals, rocket fuel, etc.

Your drinking water is siphoned off from the Potomac river, placed in sedimentation tanks to allow the sediment to settle to the bottom, then treated with chlorine (to kill bacteria and viruses) and fluoride (so your kids will have strong teeth!). There is no process to remove all the organic and inorganic compounds that were in the river.
