Nats Sign Stasburg for Record $15 Mil

So the Nats signed pitching phenom Stephen Strasburg for a record-breaking $15 mil+ Keep in mind, no pitching prospect drafted this high has ever won 200 games. I don't understand how the draft results in teams having to pay top dollar to people who haven't demonstrated that they can even play at a professional level.

You should be glad the Nats made a splash here. My bet is, he'll increase revenue by at least $1M+ just THIS YEAR, with a cameo start or two in Sept.

Let's hope they take good care of their new multi-million dollar arm.
