What will happen? Will they dump Trump? If they do, how will Trumpsters respond? And who WILL they pick? Romney? Ryan? Cruz? Christie? Rubio?

Cruz is going to steal it. The GOP elite and Cruz will be nowhere near the Quicken Loans arena when it is announced. The GOP bosses will already be launching the Cruz campaign, while some poor junior-level sOB has to go in and tell 20,000 seething Trumptardz the bad news. The Chief of the Cleveland PD will then step up to the podium and tell the restive crowd the convention is over and to pack their shit and go home. There will be ample cops in riot gear to make sure the exodus goes smoothly.

Both parties are building walls around their conventions with designated protest areas up to a mile away that lead into into a landfill. I'm not even joking.

If one of the reporters steps out of the designated reporter area and gets attacked by a Trump Gorilla it would be awful to see another Gorilla die needlessly.

I think that's a plausible scenario. Cruz has been remarkably quiet since Trump 'won'. Cruz is a snake. I bet he's been working behind the scenes to engineer some kind of coup all along. All bets are off in terms of security if that happens. The Trump riots could make the BLack Lives Matter riots look tame.
