Hoyer isn't there to listen to his constituents and only talks down to them.
Shame.

I guess this is your idea of democracy...shouting down and disrupting public meetings. Seems to me it is more like a tactic of the Nazi brown shirts.

The real shame is that a dumbass angrily interrupts a speech with inane, off-topic comments like "Why are you forcing this healthcare bill through in 3-4 weeks when the current president took SIX MONTHS TO PICK A DOG?", yet somehow there's a small group of Americans who think this is "good".

It isn't good. It's retarded.

We've been talking about healthcare reform for 40yrs so, as usual, you're way off. If the public hates it so much, why do the healthcare lobbyists need to get involved with these organized mobs?

I wouldn't know Vince.

Then again, Hoyer even points out that when they built the canals they probably had the same kinds of discussions and people were angry at all the spending.

The guy's wife (presumably) was the worst part.

But it is good that your Komrades look down on free speech of others. Thank you Komrade Vince for enlightening the masses on your views.

Ask Moveon.Org - they perfected this tactic if it is being used. I have yet to see the proof of it though. Lots of myths out there, and pointing at a website here and there that says "go out and let them know how you feel". Not sure how that is organizing, but ok....

I suppose a website could be used to organize a mob (flash mobs anyone?) but circulating paper is just as good.

But whatever... Facts don't matter

Questions should be prepared. Most pols are pros at deflecting off-the-cuff
questions. The questions should contam facts and numbers (which are
embarrassing and damning to the Rep and his voting record). They can run up to
five sentences or so - you will not be cut off at that length. The questions should
put the Rep on the defensive and demand a specific answer. Also, anticipate the
evasive, deflective answer and be prepared with a quick follow-up. The questions
should personalize the Rep why did YOU Yote for a budget that immediately
carried with it a $1.7 trillion deficit?
...

Good start. But I don't see anything offensive about it. Again, I don't think this is much different then anything moveon.org did - so if that was ok for them, then if this doesn't call for lies I don't see the problem.

They dont come to the meetings to discuss..they come to disrupt..and violence is always implied.

No - I made my point, you have yet to do anything but show your ass. Next time you show up how about you bring someone else's brain with you since it appears there is nothing left in yours.

Because lobbyists go where the funding is, you dolt. They are the bottom-feeders of public policy.

Vince - I am glad you are at peace with the thought that you have bested me. It is good that you can keep your chin up that way - I would hate for your self-esteem to go any lower.

Anyone planning to disrupt a public meeting should be arrested.

Well..allow me to qualifying...Planning to disrupt shouldnt constitute a reason for arrest. Actually disrupting should be.

How would you define "disrupt"... Would asking a tough question qualify as disrupting?

No..as long as the representative has the opportunity to answer the question without being yelled at.

If you wish to see violence, then keep acting arrogant and ignorant. Force has a way of arising through built up frustrations, and pent up angers.
